New Strategy = Big Changes
A global healthcare organization implemented a large-scale, transformative change based on a new strategy. This change affected every team, function and business line. This organization expanded product and service offerings to new and underserved markets; hired new executive team members to drive growth; created an integrated strategic marketing function; and established new capabilities and cross-functional teams.
Course of Action:
We quickly identified and mitigated organizational barriers to a successful change. We:
- Conducted a change readiness assessment to identify what was working well and the gaps between today and the new model
- Developed and executed a change plan by integrating multiple work streams and activities, and provided program management to address the organizational barriers
- Conducted a change workshop to launch newly-formed, cross-functional product teams by defining governance structure and collaborative ways of working
- Developed online and in person learning to educate a growing, global staff on the organization’s core values, strategic vision and plan to achieve the vision
Results:
As a result of our work, this organization established a strong organizational and leadership foundation for aggressive growth. People know what’s expected of them in a new global, matrixed environment; collaboration, relationships, and dependencies are clear.
