Beth Herndon

Beth Herndon brings a comprehensive and creative perspective to helping companies achieve their business and human capital goals. With 20 years experience in Human Resources and Leadership and Organizational Development, she has an extensive track record of facilitating change efforts at the individual, team and organization level and aligning human capital systems to support individual and organizational success.

Beth is particularly sought out by clients for her deep resource knowledge and keen sense of how to design solutions to fit the organizational culture. She understands the complexities of navigating the stakeholder maze in a large organization and appreciates the creative solution building needed for small companies with big goals!

The hallmarks of Beth’s work are program design, communication planning, project management and group facilitation.

Beth works with organization leaders to enhance business performance through strategic planning and focused execution efforts, work flow design, improved teamwork, employee communication, culture change and work group and company-wide restructuring. She also helps individuals and teams develop collaboration, communication and leadership capabilities via assessments, coaching and training.
Her areas of human capital expertise include people strategy for merger and acquisition, talent management, succession planning, competency design, performance management, 360 feedback, employee engagement, diversity, and leadership development.

Beth worked with Accenture in Chicago for 12 years leading a “swat team” of niche consultants who facilitated change processes with clients seeking greater leadership and team effectiveness (e.g., strategic planning, goal alignment, team structure, role clarity, communication, team leadership capability). She also created 200+ training programs and served as a master facilitator for the Firm’s professional development curriculum. Most notably, she spearheaded the Firm’s $11M global “Principle-Centered Leadership” Initiative – a flagship program within the global curriculum.

At EarthLink, an Atlanta-based internet service provider, Beth led the talent and organizational development function throughout her six year tenure engaging in large scale leadership and culture change efforts; she also took on three special assignment roles: two years as Recruiting Director, 9 months as HR Director on the launch team for Helio, a Los Angeles based joint-venture start-up, and two years as HR lead for M&A activity.

Beth holds an M.A. in Organizational Communication with an emphasis in Leadership Development from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.A. in Speech Communication from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia.

Beth inspires her creative energy by playing the trombone and drums in a “big band” community jazz group.
