Kathy Wachtel
Kathy has been consulting for over 17 years in the change management, human resources and learning and development space.
Kathy dedicates herself to partnering with each client to deliver the customized results they need to achieve their goals. She brings innovative and creative ideas to her clients that will work in their environment and culture.
Kathy spent several years at Accenture in the change management practice before venturing out and consulting on her own. Her experience ranges from onboarding new employees to designing communication strategies to developing learning and development solutions. Most recently Kathy worked with her client to hire 200 new employees, design their training curriculum to meet internal needs and state requirements and to indoctrinate them in their new culture before opening the doors of their new healthcare facility. For another client she conducted an in-depth skill and training needs analysis for their frontline operators that formed the foundation of the company’s training strategy. Kathy has also been an integral player in designing and developing unique training solutions for her clients. One example is the utilization of virtual reality to train engineers across the country on the inner workings of a large piece of machinery. She has also designed e-learning and instructor-led programs which were submitted for national awards.
Kathy has worked for a variety of clients including: Accenture, Crisis Response Network, John Deere, Frito-Lay, Dreyer’s, Meritage Homes, Dean Foods, HP, Celanese, Dal-Tile, Pizza Hut, Pacificare, and IBM.
Kathy and her family reside in Tempe, Arizona. Kathy volunteers her time to her children’s elementary school serving on the school board. Her entrepreneurship spirit has led her to the startup and ownership responsibilities of a franchised business located in California. She has also applied for patents and taken to market several small household consumer products.
