My name is Julie and I am a Twitter-holic.
Just ask those who know me. Sure, the degrees of addiction ebb and flow from day-to-day,
but pure and simple – I D-I-G the Twitterverse.
Here are five gobbles why I am thankful for Twitter this Thanksgiving:
- GOBBLE – The amount of global information and content that I consume through my feed or chats is fantastic! From current events, industry and breaking news to latest product launches and celebrity happenings, love it! I have never been so current and in the know.
- GOBBLE – I have met smart, awesome new folks ~ shout out to a few fav tweeps – @fondalo, @bowden2bowden and @AnnDaly. Folks who I would have never met had it not been for the Twitterverse, folks who live in Oregon, Georgia and Austin, Texas, btw. Cheers y’all!
- GOBBLE – It is a cost-effective and time efficient way to amplify a brand’s or person’s message, big wahoo! I have the opportunity to RT or tweet the news, events, tweets and opinions of my friends, colleagues, clients and companies with others to find out what they think, like, etc.
- GOBBLE – It makes my introverted self feel a wee bit social. Love having interactions with people and companies without picking up the phone or attending a meeting!
- GOBBLE – Intriguing, grateful, helpful, engaged and responsive users are encouraged and rewarded. How awesome is that? And how cool is Follow Friday, the day people share with others who they find interesting? Bravo!
In addition to tweeting, I also read much research about Twitter and social media. I have to say most of it makes me giggle, roll my eyes, shake my head or DM my #SM tweeps so we can type, “Here we go again,” again.
In the lightning fast pace of social media, these networks are changing every day. Quit droning on and overanalyzing (which sometimes is skewed to self-promote). Tweet it up!
And to those who say Twitter is a fad, I say, “Bless your hearts!”
I heart the Twitter! Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble … Gobble!

Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jason! Would like to comment more here but too busy writing about luxury linens and tweeting about Peacock Alley in December’s Glamour magazine:-)
