TA Strength Finder: Lianne Daues of Core-Mark Int’l

When asked about the advice she would give her 22 year-old self, Lianne Daues, Core-Mark International’s Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition said, Leverage your strengths.  Don’t just focus on your opportunities for development!”  Just a tiny sliver of the wisdom from years of recruitment execution, and now leadership she shares on Episode 39 of the Big Fish in the Talent Pool podcast.

Having cut her teeth at retail giants like The Container Store and JC Penney, Lianne’s high-volume hiring experience applies well to Core-Mark’s 5,000+ annual hires, most of them mobile.  How do you attract and engage thousands of in-demand truck drivers?  According to Lianne, two things are essential: a great Employment Brand married with a well configured Conversational AI tool. In Lianne’s words, “If [recruitment] organizations aren’t looking at [TA] technology to automate processes, they’re already behind.”

Lianne’s take on the power of data to help make the business case for technology, her thoughts on their chosen AI assistant, Paradox’s “Olivia”, and many more TA leader insights are in store for Big Fish listeners in this episode.  Most of all, her timeless advice to leaders to play to their own and the strengths of their team, for the most progressive hiring outcomes.  Timeless indeed!
