Many Times, Dogs Know Best

I’ve written about my dog, Patches, in several blogs and once again she’s given me inspiration. On a recent hike we came across a “water feature”, (aka, either get wet or walk across a series of logs). As I was planning/fretting about my way across, I noticed Patches had perched herself on the log and was just taking in the beauty.

A dog on a log.

Simply being.

Taking in the glory of the present moment.

Not worrying about what’s next…not letting the past gnaw at her.

In the craziness of life, I hope you too will find a little peace and remember to take time to just “be”. Appreciate what you have in the present or at least learn from it.
